Toni Angelini-Nagle is a dynamic public affairs executive with expertise in strategic communications, policy advocacy, and crisis management, delivering transformative results across public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Renowned for leading high-impact teams and driving measurable outcomes, Toni blends political acumen, stakeholder engagement, and innovative strategy to empower organizations and communities.
For nearly a decade, Nagle championed small businesses at the federal level as Senior Vice President of Advocacy, advancing the mission of Home Depot co-founder Bernie Marcus. In this role, she managed teams of social media professionals, event planners, and fundraisers, overseeing cohesive communication strategies and cultivating strong donor relationships to support organizational growth. Prior to that, as Senior Media Manager at the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s oldest small-business lobbying firm, she directed political and communications strategies across over a dozen states, driving grassroots initiatives and targeted media campaigns.
Toni’s public service includes a pivotal role in both terms of Governor Christopher J. Christie’s administration. Initially appointed to the Motor Vehicle Commission to oversee communications, she was later promoted to the Governor’s Office, where she coordinated Superstorm Sandy relief efforts in New Jersey’s hardest-hit regions. As a key liaison between the Governor and municipal officials, she ensured effective communication and expedited recovery processes, while also helping to establish the first federal grant program for small businesses following a disaster.
Nagle served two terms as a Councilwoman for the Borough of Matawan and was appointed Police Commissioner by the Mayor. There, she successfully negotiated a four-year contract with the PBA to avoid layoffs, and later, as Council President, she oversaw multimillion-dollar downtown redevelopment projects. Toni's nonprofit experience includes serving as Senior Case Supervisor for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), where she advocated for foster children, as well as fundraising for several charities and serving on the board of directors for Sisters Academy, a private school dedicated to educating underprivileged middle school girls in Asbury Park.
Toni attended Rutgers University in New Jersey, where she continues to reside with her husband and three children. Together, they own three small businesses in southern Monmouth County, reflecting her deep commitment to entrepreneurship and fostering strong local communities.
